The Warhammer 40,000 Introductory Set is the ideal starting point for anyone entering the hobby. Inside the box, you’ll build and paint your first miniatures, learn the core rules through guided missions, and begin playing right away. This set includes a 48-page softcover handbook that teaches construction, painting basics, and the fundamentals of gameplay. Sixteen plastic push-fit miniatures are provided, designed to assemble easily without glue. The Space Marine half of the set features five Infernus Marines, heavily armoured soldiers equipped with devastating flame weaponry to control close-range engagements. The Tyranid half includes ten Termagants, agile creatures that fire living ammunition, along with a Ripper Swarm that rushes weakened enemies and strips them to the bone.
A double-sided 30 by 22.4 inch gaming mat is included, offering two distinct battlefield environments. The set also provides a range ruler, six dice, and twenty-two cardboard tokens and markers to represent objectives, walls, and in-game effects.
To help you begin the hobby side of Warhammer 40,000, the box contains Citadel Starter Clippers for removing parts from frames and a Citadel Colour Starter Brush suitable for all-round painting. You also receive five 12ml Citadel Colour paints: Abaddon Black, Wraithbone, Balthasar Gold, Naggaroth Night, and Macragge Blue, giving you everything you need to start painting Space Marines in Ultramarines colours or Tyranids in the scheme of Hive Fleet Leviathan.
The miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly. We recommend Citadel Colour paints for best results.
